Jakub Jošt is a senior associate in our Bratislava office.
He specialises in competition law, foreign investment screening (FDI) and regulated industries.
Originally an economist (Ing.), he studied law in Bratislava (Mgr.) and completed a postgraduate degree at the London School of Economics and Political Science in 2016 specialising in competition law, intellectual property and digital economy (LL.M.). Between 2012 and 2015, he was a junior associate at Majerník & Miháliková where he dealt mainly with competition law, intellectual property law, e-commerce and investment relationships in venture capital. Upon returning from London in 2016, he began working for the international law firm Peterka & Partners, where he led the competition law practice group for all the firm's branches since 2017.
Jakub is a registered legal trainee in the Slovak Bar. He co-authored a chapter of the monograph Copyright in the Information Society, eds. Lindner/Shapiro (Edward Elgar, 2018).
He works in Slovak, English and Czech.
